About The Event
Become a certified Career Coach or Career Counsellor through NCDA as a Certified Career Service Provider (CCSP).
Whether you are working with students, adults, seniors or anyone to provide career guidance, coaching, counselling support, it is important to be equipped with the right knowledge and skills from the field of career development. The US National Career Development Association (NCDA) has defined 12 competencies for career development practitioners to develop as part of one's career practice. These competencies are part of the Facilitating Career Development (FCD) programme based on the latest 5th Edition Syllabus from NCDA (Nov 2023):

We are pleased to offer you an opportunity to build and strengthen your career practice through our enhanced version of FCD, built specially for career development practitioners and career service organisations to gain deeper understanding of career development theories, translate theory to practice by blending coaching approaches with career development theories, so as to eventually build up confidence and effectiveness in applying the skills to practice. We call this our FCD PLUS programme.
Here are 4 unique features of our FCD PLUS programme:
- Deep dive into Career Development Theories to Practice Use Cases (eg. Holland's RIASEC-based Vocational Personality to work tasks, interests & training analysis)
- Practise with deeper career development models such as Donald Schutts' Strengths-Based & Appreciative Inquiry approach and more
- Receive Group Career Supervision support from NCDA Certified Clinical Supervisors of Career Counselling (CCSCC) post training
- Integrate Kuder’s Career Assessment Platform for deeper RIASEC, Super’s Work Values into career practice
Participants in FCD PLUS can look forward to:
- 3x Full Days (Once a week) In-Person Training
- 4x 2 Hours Virtual Learning Sessions
- 3x 2 Hours Theory to Practice Virtual Learning Sessions*
- 2x 1.5 Hours Group Supervision Support*
- Weekly Readings, Self Reflections
- Video Recording Assignment and Capstone Project

Who can attend?
Our FCD PLUS is suitable for the following audiences:
1. Individuals who are interested enter the career development profession
2. Currently working as a Career Development Practitioner in a Career Service role or organisation
3. Psychologists / Counsellors who are exploring Career Development practice
4. Human Resource Practitioners (eg. HR Business Partners, Talent Managers, Learning & Development) who are exploring integrating Career Development into organisations
Priority will be given current Career Development Practitioners. We welcome international participants for this programme. However, do note that in-person training sessions must be attended in person, in Singapore. The cost of attending in-person (eg. flight, hotels) is not covered as part of the course fees.
What is the Training Schedule?
3x full day In-Person Sessions:
Dates: 16, 23, 30 May 2024 (Thursdays)
Time: 9am – 5pm
4 x 2 hours Virtual Sessions:
Dates: 13, 20, 27 June, 4 July 2024
Time: To be determined (in evenings).
3x 2 hours Theory to Practice & 2x 1.5 hours Group Supervision:
To be determined when the training commences

How much will FCD PLUS cost?
SGD$2,100 per participant.
Upon registration of your interest, we will email you a hyperlink to download a FCD PLUS Information Pack with the above information and the formal enrolment process. Due to limited class size, enrolments will only be confirmed with full payment, on a first come first serve basis. The intake will only be confirmed upon reaching 10 participants per intake.
